リビングやダイニング、寝室といったプライベートな空間から、店舗や公共施設といったパブリックな空間まで
私たちの日々の生活のなかで求められる光は様々です。
そういった様々なシーンに、よりフレキシブルに対応できるスマートな照明を、と考えたのがこの”nod”です。
この照明は、一見すると何の変哲も無いシンプルな照明ですが、そのシェードには一本の特徴的なスリットがあります。
これにより、上から下までシェードの角度を自由に変えることができ、360°どんな方向にも光を向けることが可能です。
その機能だけならば今までにも多く存在しますが、その多くはヒンジなどの機構部分をほぼ確実に露出していました。
"nod"はその機構部分をスリットによって内包することにより、スマートに光環境を変え、豊かな表情をもって空間を演出します。

From private spaces like living rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms to public spaces like shops and public facilities,various demands are made of light in our everyday lives.
In creating “nod,” we considered how smart lighting can more flexibly respond to these various scenes. While this light seems as simple as to appear to be nothing unusual upon first glance, it has the special feature of a slit in the shade. As such, the angle of the shade can be freely changed from top to bottom, resulting in the ability to direct light in any direction, 360°. While this function is not uncommon these days in lights, most of them have an exposed hinge mechanism.
"nod" covers the mechanism through its slit, resulting in a smart change to the lighting environment and an atmosphere
rich in expression.
